Audi Q3 Features & Specifications

OVERVIEW ;

The Audi Q3 is crafted in the athletic silhouette to showcase company’s excellence of merging beauty and sportiness convincingly. This urban vehicle is very well designed to look vigorous with some impressions of sophistication all across its profile and what makes the Q3 more adorable is the addition of innovative features like the 3D grille, Chrome plated tailpipe and Optional LED headlamps. Moreover, regular features such as Xenon plus headlamps, Front fog lights, LED rear lamps (optional), Electrically adjustable + Heated + Power folding and Auto Dimming ORVMs with LED blinkers, Panoramic glass roof and Aluminium alloy wheels make its appearance more striking. The inside also looks very soothing with the usage of premium leather upholstery, premium plastics and creation of optimum space for the occupants. Added to this, it also gets good space to gobble plenty of touring stuff. The Q3 also gets new elements like Auto drive select, Hill decent control and Power lumbar support that makes it more comfortable to drive. Check for specification,features & price of Audi Cars

EXTERIOR AND LOOKS ;

There are minimal changes to the exterior of the car. At the front, the car dons a new face with the bold singular frame grille that gets matte chrome finish. It extends all the way to the headlamp and forms a contrast with the body colour, making the front appear sportier than before.The redesigned front bumper gets black inserts for the fog-lamp housing, interestingly there are no fog lamps here. That is because, the car gets new all-LED headlamps (first in segment) with DRLs, which Audi claims, offers the enough illumination even in the foggy conditions. The other change is to the internals of the headlamp, the shape of the day time running lamps is different and they are visibly larger than before.

The only change to the side profile is the addition of the new ten-spoke alloy-wheels that look elegant. The changes to the rear are even lesser; the internals of the tail lamp have been altered, but unless one has spent a lot of time with its predecessor, the changes will be hard to notice. Get On Road Price of Audi Q3 in Carzprice  The new turn indicators though are instantly noticeable, the dynamic indicators illuminate from inside out in the direction of the turn.Although the changes are limited, I still like the way the new Q3 looks. It is more aggressive than before, but importantly Audi has managed to do it in a subtle manner. There are no additional cuts and creases on the body like on the new Mercedes cars, the aggression comes just from the face and stance. If I were to draw an analogy, while the entry-level Mercs look like hardcore action heroes like Sylvester Stallone, the new Q3 has the demeanor of Jason Statham.

INTERIOR AND COMFORT ;

Step inside the Q3’s cabin and you won’t see a lot of gizmos and there are times when it feels very much like the Volkswagen Polo with the matte black and brushed Aluminium finish. The Q3 S falls in the similar range as the Mercedes Benz A Class and the latter feels too modern when compared to the Q3 S.It is still not a mood spoiler as it feels roomier than the A Class. The seats get basic leatherette and the cushioning is decent. Front legroom is sufficient while the rear legroom is an issue for taller passengers. All the seats are very comfortable and even on long drives do not cause any fatigue.

While Audi guys were generous to give the driver all possible electric controls for adjusting his seat, the front passenger might feel bad because in addition to the manually pushing and pulling of the seat, he also has to battle with a rotary knob to adjust the inclining angle.The speedometer is similar to the standard Q3 and so is the driver information screen mounted on the dash board. The DIS screen can also be folded and tucked in the dashboard. There is no automatic climate control in this which pinches it hard especially when you consider its price tag and the other options available in the market. The AC unit does a decent job and cools the cabin adequately.On the central console, there are twin cup holders and there is storage space under the adjustable armrest. All four doors can hold a litre class container. It has a superb boot space and one can stock more luggage than in the A Class or the BMW 1 series.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ;

The Audi Q3 is powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine with two states of tune. In one format, it generates 174 hp of power at 4,200 rpm and 380 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm and 2,500 rpm. This version has an automatic transmission while the other variant is mated to a manual gearbox. The manual gearbox trims produce 138 hp of power at 4,200 rpm and 320 Nm of torque. Both engine tunes have generous performance figures for most driving conditions. Transmission available for one version of the Audi Q3 is a 7 speed S tronic automatic gearbox. This transmission is available only on the 35 TDI diesel engine powered variants. This variant also has Audi’s exclusive all wheel drive Quattro system. The 30 TDI S Edition version has a 6 speed manual transmission without Audi’s Quattro system.In terms of safety, the Audi Q3 SUV is offered with 8 airbags, ABS (Anti lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), hill hold assist, traction control, Audi Multimedia Interface, and tyre pressure monitoring system.The Audi Q3 has a claimed fuel efficiency of 15.73 kmpl for the 35 TDI variants and 17.32 kmpl for the 30 TDI S Edition versions. The company recommends sulphur free diesel for best performance as well as fuel efficiency.

RIDE AND HANDLING ;

Audi hasn’t altered the suspension of the Q3 and it rides and handles the same as before, there is nothing to complain about though. That’s because the baby Q has always carried a good balance of ride and handling, taking bad roads in its stride with confidence while also being sharp through corners. The Q3 is the only car which can carry the SUV tag with pride in its segment as it comes with the quattro all-wheel drive system, making it quite capable off-road. We took our test model through some off-road sections and it didn’t bat an eyelid. The steering is light at low speeds which is a boon in the city while at high speeds, the feedback could have been better. Braking performance is excellent and the Pirelli tyres offer very good grip .Apply car loan for Audi Q3 at Carzprice

SAFETY ;

The Q3 features a total of six airbags that are standard across the range. Also standard are anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist. Other safety tech includes electronic stability program (ESP), hill-descent control and traction control (ASR). The top-spec Technology variant additionally features a rear parking camera over the standard rear parking sensors.

CONCLUSSION ;

With the crossover craze alive and well here in the U.S., the Q3 will likely do rather well; especially considering its smart looks, powerful engine, all-wheel-drive capability, and room for five. Oh, and of course there’s the luxury brand identity Audi enjoys. With a reasonable starting price in the low to mid-$30,000 range, the Q3 is sure to be a strong hit.
